Kangana Ranaut Slams Subramanian Swamy Who Criticised The Actress For Being Made A Chief Guest At Delhi's Ramleela Function - READ TWEET
Bollywood's highly acclaimed actress Kangana Ranaut who holds multiple National Awards, recently launched a scathing critique at the former Member of Parliament (MP) and BJP leader, Subramanian Swamy. He had questioned Kangana's role as the chief guest at this year's Red Fort Ramlila event. Subramanian Swamy's comments came in response to a post on Twitter that featured Kangana Ranaut in a bikini from one of her films. In her retort, Kangana expressed her concern over Swamy's response to a user who shared her bikini picture, attributing it to "deep-rooted sexism and a latent desire for the female body," and suggesting that Swamy's words made him seem like a pervert. The feud ignited when Subramanian Swamy took to Twitter and raised questions about Kangana being designated as the chief guest at the Ramleela event hosted by Lav Kush Ramleela. He mentioned, "According to SPG gossip, she (Kangana) is a 'frequent flyer.' Why should SPG gossip? Because the organization is overburdened. Making her the chief guest on the final day of the Ramlila is an action that, in the organization's view, doesn't demonstrate proper respect for Maryada Purushottam," as stated in his tweet. Kangana didn't hold back and gave a befitting reply to the BJP leader saying  "suggesting that I (Kangana) have nothing else to offer except for my flesh to get my way in politics." In response to Subramanian Swamy's comments, Kangana Ranaut posed a thought-provoking question and asked whether Swamy would have made the same remarks if a male star or creative artist were in her place. She asked, "Had there been a young male maverick instead of me, someone who could potentially be a promising future leader deserving of guidance and mentorship, would you still insinuate that he's possibly compromising his principles to advance in politics?"

On the professional front, Kangana is in preparation for the release of her upcoming film, Tejas, in which she portrays the character of Air Force pilot Tejas Gill. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on October 26.
